Boards
RESCON's board of directors is comprised of four officers of MTABA, four officers of TRCLB, and one officer elected by members of DRCLB associations as well as builders not affiliated to a union collective agreement. RESCON represents its members on issues in areas which are not restricted to labour relations and collective bargaining but impact all residential builders equally.
Joint Residential Construction Association (JRCA)
The JRCA is an umbrella organization comprised of the boards of directors of the MTABA, TRCLB, and DRCLB. The JRCA acts as the co-ordinating and principle funding body of RESCON. Matters discussed by the JRCA are restricted to labour relations, bargaining and collective agreement administration. The JRCA reduces duplication of services, creates efficiencies in administration and streamlines issues which are common to each of the three associations (MTABA, TRCLB, and DRCLB).
Metropolitan Toronto Apartment Builders Association (MTABA)
The MTABA is the accredited employer bargaining agency for all high-rise residential builders bound to an agreement with Labourers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 183 in Geographic Board Area 8 and Simcoe County. The primary area of interest of the MTABA is collective bargaining and the administration of the MTABA collective agreement. The MTABA regularly represents its members on labour relations matters involving the interpretation of the collective agreement.
Toronto Residential Construction Labour Bureau (TRCLB)
The TRCLB is the accredited employer bargaining agency for all low-rise residential builders bound to an agreement with LIUNA Local 183 in Geographic Board Area 8 and Simcoe County. The primary area of interest of the TRCLB is collective bargaining and the administration of the TRCLB collective agreement. The TRCLB regularly represents its members on labour relations matters involving the interpretation of the collective agreement.
Durham Residential Construction Labour Bureau (DRCLB)
The DRCLB is the employer bargaining agency for low-rise residential builders bound to an agreement with LIUNA Local 183 in Geographic Board Area 9. The primary area of interest of the DRCLB is collective bargaining and the administration of the DRCLB collective agreement. The DRCLB regularly represents its members on labour relations matters involving the interpretation of the collective agreement which have industry-wide ramifications.
Southwest Residential Construction Labour Bureau (SRCLB)
The SRCLB is the employer bargaining agency for low-rise residential builders bound to an agreement with LIUNA Local 837 in geographic board areas 4, 5, 6 and 26. The primary area of interest of the SRCLB is collective bargaining and the administration of the SRCLB collective agreement. The SRCLB regularly represents its members on labour relations matters involving the interpretation of the collective agreement which have industry-wide ramifications.
